The Cuckoo's Nest Folk Club

The Red Lion at Cheddleton near Leek on the A520 between Leek, Meir and Stone hosts ad hoc Thursday evenings of acoustic music.

To close the 2nd season, Thursday July 28th resident band - Herbs and Leekies - Paul & Kath Davies and Dave & Sam Rhead have decided to put on a night of their own.

The band have developed a repertoire over the 2 years at Cheddleton as well as devising a Christmas Show. And more recently A Show of Local Songs and Stories which received a great reception at Leek Historical Society's meeting for Leek Arts Festival. As well as playing together, all the band will present their solo talents including a bit of Paul & Kath's jazz. They hope to be joined by a few surprise guests including John Bogges with his "Interactive Whiteboard" hit single and a few of his poems.
